Red Velvet Crepes with Strawberry Cream Delight

Give your loved ones this heartwarming dessert made with chocolate hugs and sweet, creamy strawberry kisses! 

Equipment Needed:

Stovetop
Blender

Ingredients:

Crepe:
2 whole eggs
1 pc egg yolk
1 cup NESTLÉ® FRESH milk
½ cup water
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1½ tbsp cocoa powder
2-3 drops red food color
Pinch of salt

Strawberries and Cream:
4 cups strawberries, quartered
2 tbsp sugar
1 pack NESTLÉ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM 250ml, chilled
2 tbsp confectioner’s sugar

Preparation:

Crepe:
1. Combine eggs, milk, water, salt, sugar, vanilla extract and melted butter in a blender and blend until foamy. Add flour and cocoa powder and pulse until no lumps are visible. Add red food color according to desired darkness. Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for at least 1 hour in the chiller.
2. Heat a small non-stick pan and coat with butter. Pour ¼ cup of the batter into the center of the pan and swirl to spread evenly. Cook for a minute or until golden and then flip to cook the other side. Slide onto a plate and repeat procedure for the remaining batter.

Strawberries and Cream:
3. Combine strawberries and sugar in a bowl and set aside.
4. In another bowl, beat NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM and confectioners’ sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in macerated strawberries to cream mixture. Use to fill up crepes. Drizzle with chocolate sauce/syrup.
