Ingredients

1/2 cup bacon, chopped
3 pcs chorizo bilbao
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tsp 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 loaf day-old French bread
4 tbsp butter,softened
6 eggs
NESTLÉ Fresh Milk
grated Cheddar cheese

  • STEP 1

    In a pre-heated pan, sauté bacon and chorizo until fat is rendered. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Set aside to cool.

  • STEP 2

    Slice bread into 1/2 inch slices. Butter both sides, then cut each slice in half diagonally.

  • STEP 3

    Grease a 9"x3" ovenproof dish with remaining butter. Combine cooled bacon and chorizo with bread and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Spread onto the bottom of each dish.

  • STEP 4

    In a large bowl, whisk together NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM, NESTLÉ Fresh Milk, eggs, and pepper. Pour over bread slices. Sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese over this mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.

  • STEP 5

    Preheat oven to 350-F. Remove dish from refrigerator while oven is preheating. Remove plastic wrap then cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and allow to rest for 40 minutes -- the pudding will finish cooking. Serve warm.
