Ingredients

Fish Cake

1 pc medium potato, peeled and cubed
1 cup flaked fried tilapia
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc small onion, chopped
1 pc red bell pepper, chopped
1 tbsp 1 tbsp spring onion, sliced
1 pc egg
3 tbsp grated cheese
¼ cup NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream 125ml
1 sachet MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP® 8g
½ cup all purpose flour
2 pcs egg, beaten
2 cups Japanese bread crumbs
1 cup vegetable oil

Tartar Sauce

¼ cup NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream 125ml
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp parsley, minced
1 tbsp red onion, minced
1 tbsp pickle relish
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ tsp fine salt
1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper

VIEW WITHOUT STEPS

  • Prep Time 2 hours and 5 minutes
  • STEP 1

    Simmer potato in water until very tender. Strain, mash, and set aside to cool. (15 minutes)

  • STEP 2

    Mix mashed potato, tilapia, garlic, onion, bell pepper, spring onion, egg, cheese, and ¼ cup of NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream. Season with MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®. Form into 8 patties and refrigerate for 1 hour to set. (1 hour and 10 minutes)

  • STEP 3

    Make tartar sauce by mixing ¼ cup NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, mayonnaise, parsley, onion, pickle relish, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate until use. (5 minutes)

  • STEP 4

    Coat fish cakes with flour, dip in egg, and coat with bread crumbs. Pan fry in oil until golden brown. Transfer into a cooling rack to drain excess oil. Serve with Tartar Sauce. (15 minutes)
