For You Cashew Yummy Hummus
A taste of this savory dip will take you and your loved ones on a Mediterranean cruise to high levels of yum!
|1||red bell pepper, deseeded and quartered|
|2||cloves garlic, roughly chopped|
|1 tbsp||lemon juice|
|2 tbsp||extra virgin olive oil|
|½ cup||NESTLÉ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM 250ml|
|1 can||chickpeas, rinsed and drained|
|1 cup||unsalted roasted Ps|
|1 tsp||cayenne pepper|
|1 tsp||sesame oil|
- Skin side up, place the red pepper under a griller or over broiler for 10 minutes, or until the skin is blackened all over. Remove from heat and set aside, covering with a clean dish towel or plastic wrap for 5 minutes to allow the steam to loosen the skin from the flesh. When cooled, peel off blackened skin and roughly chop the pepper flesh into pieces.
- In a food processor, combine chopped roasted pepper with remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth, scraping the sides occasionally.
- Serve with vegetable sticks or sliced pita bread.
