Cream Drop Cream Drop

Ingredients

1 cup chopped toasted walnuts (or cashew nuts)
1 ½ cups raisins, soaked in brandy and water
1 ½ cups drained and chopped fruit cocktail
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 ¼ cups loosely packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Glaze:

1/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp gelatin powder, unflavored

Steps

VIEW WITHOUT STEPS

  • STEP 1

    Combine walnuts, raisins, and fruits in a bowl. Coat well with 1/4 cup flour.

  • STEP 2

    In another bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups flour and salt. Set aside.

  • STEP 3

    Beat eggs until light and frothy. Stir in NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM and vanilla and continue mixing.

  • STEP 4

    Add in dry ingredients: brown sugar, flour and salt mixture, and fruits. Mix thoroughly then spread onto a greased 9x13 inch rectangular pan.

  • STEP 5

    Bake at a pre-heated 300 degrees F oven for 30-35 minutes or until edges are starting to brown.

  • STEP 6

    Glaze cake with orange juice mixture while still warm. Let cool and cut into bars.
