Fantastically Fruity Fruitcake Bars

Bar none, this dessert is the one that'll take your loved ones to sugary bliss!


1 cup
chopped toasted walnuts (or cashew nuts)
1 ½ cups
raisins, soaked in brandy and water
1 ½ cups
drained and chopped fruit cocktail
1 ½ cups
all-purpose flour
1 tsp
1 ¼ cups
loosely packed brown sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract


Combine and simmer to thicken:

1/4 cup
orange juice
1 tsp
gelatin powder, unflavored


  1. Combine walnuts, raisins, and fruits in a bowl. Coat well with 1/4 cup flour.

  2. In another bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups flour and salt. Set aside.

  3. Beat eggs until light and frothy. Stir in NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM and vanilla and continue mixing.

  4. Add in dry ingredients: brown sugar, flour and salt mixture, and fruits. Mix thoroughly then spread onto a greased 9x13 inch rectangular pan.

  5. Bake at a pre-heated 300 degrees F oven for 30-35 minutes or until edges are starting to brown.

  6. Glaze cake with orange juice mixture while still warm. Let cool and cut into bars.
