Creamy Pork Menudo

pork shoulder, cut into pieces
1/4 kg
pork liver, cut into pieces
2 sachets
6 cloves
garlic, minced
1 pc
onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups
tomato sauce
2 1/2 cups
1 pc
bay leaf
1/4 tsp
bay leaf
1 tbsp
brown sugar
1 pc
red bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup
fresh green peas
3 pcs
hotdog, biased
4 tbsp
cheese, grated
1 pack
125ml NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream


  1. Sauté potato and carrot in 1 tbsp oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  2. Season pork shoulder and liver separately with 1 sachet of MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®. Sauté pork and liver separately in the same pan. Remove and set aside.

  3. Sauté garlic and onion in oil. Pour tomato sauce and water. Add pork, bay leaf, pepper, and sugar. Simmer for 45 minutes.

  4. Add sautéed liver, bell pepper, green peas, hotdog, potato, and carrot. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Season with remaining sachet of MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®. Grate half of the cheese on the sauce and stir in NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream. Transfer on a serving plate, grate cheese on top, and serve.

    Note: Menudo may be cooked the day before serving. Store properly and reheat just before serve for a more developed flavored dish. Add NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream just before serving.
