Ingredients

3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 pc potato, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 pc small carrot, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ kg pork shoulder (kasim), cut into 2-inch pieces
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc large onion, chopped
4 pcs tomato, chopped
1 sachet 60g MAGGI Supreme Sarap
1 cup water
1 pc bay leaf
1 pc small red bell pepper, large diced
1 pc small green bell pepper, large diced

Steps

VIEW WITHOUT STEPS

  • Prep Time 20mins
  • Cooking Time Cook Time 1h 15mins
  • STEP 1

    Sauté potato and carrot in oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside. (10mins)

  • STEP 2

    Add pork in the same pan and sauté until light golden brown. Add garlic, onion and tomato. Cook for 10 minutes. (15mins)

  • STEP 3

    Add MAGGI Supreme Sarap, water and bay leaf. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. 

  • STEP 4

    Add sautéed potato, carrot and bell peppers. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir in NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream. Transfer on a serving plate and serve. (15mins)

Tips For This Recipe

  1. Best to cook Mechado the day before it will be serve. Reheat, add cream and serve.
