Ingredients

½ kg 1 ½-inch pieces pork belly, blanched
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
½ cup vegetable oil
3 pcs eggplant, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc onion, diced
2 pcs tomato, cut into wedges
2 pcs green finger chili, biased
¼ cup bagoong alamang
1 tbsp brown sugar
¼ cup vinegar
2 cups water
1 pack 125ml Nestle All Purpose Cream

Steps

VIEW WITHOUT STEPS

  • Prep Time 1 hr
  • STEP 1

    Season pork with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Fry in oil until golden brown. Remove and set aside. (10 mins)

  • STEP 2

    Fry eggplant in the same oil until golden brown. Set aside on a cooling rack. (5 mins)

  • STEP 3

    Remove oil from the pan leaving 2 tbsp. Sauté garlic, onion, tomato, chili, bagoong, sugar and pork. Pour vinegar and simmer for 2 minutes. Pour water and simmer for 30 minutes. (40 mins)

  • STEP 4

    Add eggplant and pour Nestle All Purpose Cream. Gently simmer for another 2 minutes. Transfer on a serving plate and serve. (5 mins)

    Tip: Add other vegetables like kalabasa, sitaw or sigarilyas to Binagoongan
