Creamy Pandesal Bread Pudding

Give your everyday pandesal a sweet makeover by turning it into delectable bread pudding! Delicate, creamy, and oh so delish!

Ingredients:

large eggs
1 cup
sugar
2 tsp
vanilla powder or extract
½ cup
butter, melted
¾ cup
raisins
½ tsp
cinnamon powder
1/8 tsp
nutmeg

large pandesal, cut into cubes

Vanilla Sauce:

¾ tsp
cornstarch
1 cup
sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tbsp
butter
1 tsp
vanilla powder
1 tbsp
rum (optional)
½ cup
NESTLÉ® Fresh milk

Procedure:


  1. In a bowl, combine eggs, NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM, sugar, vanilla powder, and melted butter. Mix well. Add raisins, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg. Whisk and then add cubed pandesal. Let bread sit in the mixture for at least 40 minutes.

  2. Brush the bottom of a baking pan with softened butter. Transfer soaked bread to the pan and bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

  3. Vanilla Sauce: In a saucepan, combine NESTLÉ ALL PURPOSE CREAM , cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon, butter, vanilla powder, rum and milk. Bring to a boil and slightly thicken. Serve with bread pudding
