Ingredients

½ kg pork belly, cut into pieces
¼ cup soy sauce
6 tbsp vinegar
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 pc bay leaf
1 tsp black peppercorn
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 ½ cups water
1 tbsp tausi (fermented salted black beans), rinsed
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 sachet 8g MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP®

  • Prep Time 15mins
  • Cooking Time Cook Time 1h
  • STEP 1

    Combine pork belly, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorn, sugar, water and tausi in a pot. Simmer while covered for 45 minutes. (50 mins)

  • STEP 2

    Strain pork and sauté in oil until golden brown. Pour cooking liquid and add MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®. Simmer for 5 minutes. (10 mins)

  • STEP 3

    Stir in Nestle All Purpose Cream. Gently simmer for another 2 minutes. Transfer on a serving plate and serve. (3mins)

Tips For This Recipe

  1. Humba like any other stewed dishes is best served a day or two after it is cooked. Simply add Nestle All Purpose Cream during reheating just before serving.
