Creamy Chicken Corn and Orozo Soup

Warm the heart and the tummy with this comfortingly creamy chicken corn and orozo soup recipe

Ingredients:

2 tbsps
butter
1
medium onion, chopped
2 cloves
garlic, minced
5 cups
stock or water
350 gms
chicken breast, cubed
1/2 tsp
dried thyme leaves
1/2 cup
orzo (risoni pasta) or salad macaroni pasta
1 tbsp
all-purpose flour
1 pack
NESTLÉ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM
1 can
whole kernel corn, drained
1
small carrot, diced
2 sachets
8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1/2 tsp
freshly ground pepper

Procedure:


  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add chicken cubes and sauce until it changes color.

  2. Pour in stock or water and dried thyme. Bring to a boil and then lower heat to simmer, covered until chicken is cooked. Add orzo and carrots. Continue to cook for 6 to 8 min until orzo is tender.

  3. Whisk flour into cream. Add corn and NESTLÉ® ALL PURPOSE CREAM to broth. Bring to a boil while stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP® and pepper
