Creamy Beef Caldereta
A creamy twist to beef caldereta.
Simmer beef in water with bay leaf until tender. Strain beef and reserve broth. Remove and discard beef bones.
Sauté potato and carrot in 2 tbsp of oil until golden brown and set aside.
Sauté garlic, onion, and chili in remaining 2 tbsp of oil in a pot. Add tomato paste and liver spread. Stir in reserved broth and add beef. Simmer until very tender. Add water if needed.
Once tender, add sautéed potato, carrot, and bell peppers. Season with MAGGI® MAGIC SARAP® and sugar. Stir in NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream and 2 tbsp of cheese. Transfer on a serving plate, grate remaining cheese on top, and serve.
- Caldereta may be cooked the day before serving. Store properly and reheat just before serve for a more developed flavored dish. Add NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream just before serving.
- Beef may be replaced with pork or chicken.
