Chocolate Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

1 tsp

1 1/3 cups

2/3 cups + 2 tbsp
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking powder
½ cup
cocoa powder
½ tsp
fine salt
3 tbsp
powdered sugar


  1. Prepare filling by mixing cream cheese, Nestle All Purpose Cream, vanilla and powdered sugar. Whisk until light and smooth. Set aside.

  2. For the cake, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and sugar until light and smooth. Whisk in Nestle All Purpose Cream.

  3. Sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl. Mix in with the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not over mix.

  4. Greased a sheet pan and line with parchment paper. Pour the cake mixture and bake in a 320ᵒF preheated oven for 10 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserter in the middle of the cake. Set aside for 5 minutes.

  5. While still warm, sprinkle 3 tbsp of powdered sugar on top of the cake. Roll while peeling off the parchment paper. Set aside for 5 minutes. This to make rolling later easier when filling is applied.

  6. Unroll the cake, spread the filling and roll again into a log. Refrigerate for 1 hour before slicing and serving.
