Carbonara and Meatballs

Spaghetti with Meatballs needs a tad bit of level up, don't you think so? This creamy delight will give you an extraordinary experience of your usual Cabonara recipe!

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

½ kg
ground beef
5 slices
loaf bread, shredded and soaked in
¼ cup
grated Parmesan cheese
1 sachet
8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
Cooking oil for frying

For the Carbonara:

5 pcs
bacon strips
2 tbsp
butter
¼ cup
minced garlic
½ cup
water
1 sachet
8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
¼ cup
gruyere cheese (or Swiss cheese)
½ cup
grated sharp cheddar cheese
300 g
spaghetti, cooked according to instructions on pack

Procedure:


  1. Prepare meatballs by mixing meatball ingredients together in a bowl. Test-fry the mixture and adjust seasoning according to taste.

  2. Scoop 2-3 tbsp of mixture and form into small balls, almost as big as golf balls. Set aside.

  3. Heat cooking oil and fry prepared meatballs until brown. Set aside.

  4. To prepare carbonara, fry bacon until crispy to extract oil. Remove bacon from the pan and chop into small piece. Set aside.

  5. Stir-fry garlic until fragrant and golden brown. Add chopped bacon. Pour in NESTLE ALL PURPOSE CREAM and water. Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Simmer then lower heat.

  6. Add cheeses and cook until cheeses dissolve. Toss-in spaghetti and meatballs. Mix to fully incorporate sauce.

  7. Serve topped with meatballs.
